British boot brand Dr. Martens announced that Giles Wilson, who has been appointed to the role of chief financial officer, will join the business and the board on May 27. Wilson joins the British footwear company from William Grant & Sons, one of the largest global spirit companies and owner of Hendrick’s Gin. Before this, Wilson was at John Menzies as CFO before becoming CEO.

Global lifestyle apparel company Kontoor Brands announced that Mary Campbell has been elected to the company’s board of directors. Campbell is a senior executive with extensive knowledge in consumer-driven product innovation, marketing and brand building, and traditional and new media platforms, as well as leading teams for long-term growth and evolution.

Mango
European fashion group Mango has agreed to appoint industry expert Dr. Achim Berg as external advisor to the company’s CEO, Toni Ruiz, and the management team, effective May 1. Berg will utilize his expertise and network, amassed over two decades as a management consultant, to support Mango’s growth and internationalization strategy.

New York-based Tapestry announced that Kevin Hourican, president and chief executive officer of Sysco Corporation, and David Elkins, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bristol Myers Squibb, have been appointed to the company’s board of directors.
Hourican has served as Sysco’s president and CEO and as a member of its board of directors since Feb. 2020, leading the company’s large-scale, customer-focused and growth-related transformation to improve how Sysco supports its customers and accelerate profitable sales growth. In his current role, Elkins is responsible for global business operations, including business development, business insights and analytics, global finance, and strategic sourcing and procurement.

Online luxury retailer Revolve has announced the appointment of Marianna Hewitt as the creative director of its exclusive in-house label, L’Academie. Hewitt, co-founder of Summer Fridays—a top-selling beauty brand on Revolve—will be instrumental in shaping the overarching concept and trend direction for L’Academie. She will continue to work closely alongside the Revolve team throughout the entire lifecycle of the brand’s collections and collaborate on editorial direction for campaigns as well as site merchandising.
